Overview

The TIDC-EVSE-NFC reference design showcases a straightforward integration of TI’s NFC technology with an existing EVSE platform to enable user authentication. The NFC standard comprises many different sub-technologies and working groups, making integration into a specific system difficult. My leveraging the proven reference designs, and certified software in this design, we can ensure that the standards are met, as well as simplify the development process. This design incorporates only basic functionality for an operational system, but the example software included shows how simple it is to integrate NFC into an EVSE design.
