Overview
The TPS12SxxF EVM showcases and evaluates features of the smart fuse high-side switch controller portfolio from Texas Instruments. The EVM is designed to work for each variant TPS12S13F, TPS12S23F, TPS12S14F, and TPS12S24F, enabling the use of a single host EVM for a variety of different high-side switches and controllers with varying functionality.
The EVM is designed to be highly configurable, but changes beyond adding DNP values and configurations specified in the datasheet must be verified by TI first. Extreme modifications may not be supported and performance cannot be verified.
Features
- TPS12SxxF-Q1 family compatible EVM board design
- TM4C123GH6 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4F based MCU: used as a USB to SPI host from the host PC to the attach high-side switch daughtercard
- 9-pin Cortex-M JTAG port allows for users to program and debug firmware to the TM4C123
- TLV766 500mA, 16V Linear Regulator to derive 3.3V power rail to supply VDD of the high-side switch controller
- Test points: fully accessible test-points and headers, allowing complete access to SPI lines, fault signals, power rails
