The UCC5880INVERTEREVM board can be used standalone to test the UCC5880-Q1 driver with 100-nF capacitor load soldered on the board, or it can also be used to drive Wolfspeed XM3 SiC-based half-bridge power modules directly for high-power test. Two UCC14240-Q1 isolated bias supplies are included on board. The EVM is flexible to configure different SPI communication methods, including regular SPI, daisy chain and TI address based. The EVM can interface with Sitara™ and C2000™ real-time microcontroller control card for 3-phase inverter testing up to 300 kW

  • Dual driver with split outputs: 15-A peak source and sink paths and 5-A peak source and sink paths
  • Primary- and secondary-side active short-circuit (ASC) support
  • Power transistor protections: DESAT, OC/SC, programmable soft turnoff (STO) and two-level soft turnoff (2STO) during power transistor faults
  • SPI-based device reconfiguration, verification, supervision and diagnosis
  • Two drivers and bias supplies in a half-bridge configuration
  • Precise voltage regulation with UCC14240-Q1 isolated bias supply

  • UCC5880INVERTEREVM adaptor board to connect to the TMDSCNCD280039C control card
  • Ribbon cable to connect the adaptor board to the EVM
