Overview
The VAR-SOM-AM62P is a system on module (SOM) and computer on module (COM), combining high-performance CPU, cost efficiency and advanced graphics and multimedia performance. VAR-SOM-AM62P is a solution for industrial embedded products and multimedia-intensive devices and is powered by TI Sitara AM62P54 with 1.4GHz Quad Cortex™-A53 and 800MHz Cortex-R5F real-time co-processor. This highly integrated platform's connectivity options include certified Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax/ac/a/b/g/n) with optional 802.15.4, BT/BLE 5.4, 4x CAN-FD, dual Gigabit ethernet, audio, camera in, and dual USB. The platform supports full -40°C to 85°C industrial operating temperatures, advanced 3D GPU with OpenGL ES 3.2 and Vulkan 1.2 support, H.264/H.265 HD video encoding/decoding, and triple display interface (MIPI-DSI + dual LVDS). The VAR-SOM-AM62P is compatible with the VAR-SOM pin2pin family, which provides maximum scalability and state-of-the-art capabilities.

Release Information
Thank you for your interest in the AM62P MCU PLUS Software Development Kit (SDK). This software accelerates application development schedules by eliminating the need to create basic system software functions from scratch.
- The SDK includes a real-time multitasking kernel, examples and drivers.
- The exact content of the SDK depends on the capabilities of the device, but all devices share common APIs and build on existing proven software components to ensure reliability and quality.
- The software components are fully tested to ensure that they work together with TI’s Code Composer Studio integrated development environment.
