Restoring and Updating U-Boot NAND on OMAP-L138

00:08:02 | 20 AUG 2018

There may be times when the U-Boot image in the NAND may get corrupted ... Or perhaps the U-Boot needs to be updated to a different or fixed version. This video shows how to restore and update the U-Boot image in the NAND flash on the OMAP-L138 LCDK EVM (TMDSLCDK138).

There are three methods for flashing NAND on the OMAP-L138 LCDK:

  • Using UART2 mode through USB-UART port
  • Using “nand write” command from u-boot prompt
  • Using the user space utility from Linux kernel
