This demo showcases two different types of EMI mitigation based on frequency modulation. The LM5156-Q1 implements dual-random spread spectrum (DRSS) while the LM61460-Q1 implements pseudo-random spread spectrum (PRSS). The HotRod™ QFN package of the LM61460-Q1 is optimized to reduce the impact of switching noise in the system. A live conducted EMI measurement shows the improvement due to the two different frequency modulation scheme. The LM74700-Q1 is implemented to provide reverse voltage protection to the front end.
