Precisely measuring current in 48 V vehicles

00:49:21 | 27 SEP 2020

Many vehicle systems run on a 48V battery. Monitoring the current on a 48V rail presents challenges over the traditional automotive 12V power rail. This session will address the tradeoffs needed to overcome these challenges. First, different shunt-based current sensing solutions across TI with real-world total error calculation and simulation examples will be discussed. Then, a few of TI’s 110V Current Sense Amplifiers examples will demonstrate how to solve these 48V current sensing problems.
