Digitally-Controlled 4-Switch Buck-Boost for Automotive Lighting Using C2000 Real-Time MCU

00:01:29 | 09 MAY 2023

The 4-switch buck-boost reference design showcases a digitally-controlled solution for an automotive LED driver module. The design can scale the 12-V input down to 3-V and up to 60-V with up to 1.5-A of output current. Digital control allows for fast LED switching and limits current overshoot in LED animation use cases. The controlCARD-based design enables users to evaluate multiple C2000 MCUs, furthering ease-of-use and optimizing the system cost and size.
