Improving overall home energy efficiency through mmWave radars

00:01:17 | 24 APR 2024

mmWave is a radar technology where a radar transmits short-wavelength electromagnetic wave signals to be reflected by objects in the signals' path, which allows a radar system determine the range, velocity, and angle of the objects. TI’s mmWave radar devices integrate both analog (transmitter, receiver, clocking etc.) and digital components (ADC, MCU, memory, hardware accelerator etc.) These differences from traditional discrete components can reduce power consumption and overall system cost.
