Gas Detector

Your repository for gas detector design resources

A gas detector is an initiating device in a fire safety system that sends a signal to a fire alarm control panel or sends an audio and/or visual alert to the user when combustible or toxic gas is present. Gas detectors can also help monitor and regulate air quality by working with an HVAC system.

  • Gas detector solutions from TI tackle common problems across different types of gas detectors including carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), and combustible gas detectors
  • TI Designs demonstrate optimized power management for AC to DC applications as well as for achieving extremely long coin cell battery life in wireless systems
  • In addition, versatile wireless connectivity including Bluetooth® Low Energy, Zigbee RF4CE, 6LoWPAN or ANT are demonstrated for a gas sensor capable of monitoring a wide range of gases including carbon monoxide, oxygen, ammonia, fluorine, chlorine dioxide and more
