Industrial Robot Teach Pendant (HMI)

Description

Human Machine Interface (HMI) panels are used as programming and controlling interface for industrial robots. Robotics HMI TI Designs from Texas Instruments show possible ways of implementing the different subsystems of a HMI. These are for example designs based on SitaraTM processors with superior processing and graphic performance while still being able to run industrial Ethernet like Profibus, Profinet, POWERLINK, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or a proprietary communication protocol to communicate with the main robot controller. For wireless connections designs using TI’s SimpleLinkTM devices are shown. Moreover, designs for power management, wired interfaces like USB and control inputs are available.
