Logistics Robot HMI (Human Machine Interface)


Different variants of logistics robots require a human machine interface (HMI) to provide an additional visual interface to an operator instead of being controlled from external controllers only, in example via a wireless connection. Robotics HMI TI Designs from Texas Instruments show possible ways of implementing the different subsystems of such a HMI. For the embedded part designs based on SitaraTM processors with superior processing performance and the abilitiy to control a touch screen panel are available. Moreover, solutions for different interfaces like USB or SD cards are shown. If wireless connectivity is needed designs using TI’s wireless products portolio are shown. For the analog part, designs for power management and control inputs are provided.
