Power Supply Module

Relay power supply module integrated circuits and reference designs

Modular protection relays are designed to have multiple functional modules. One such module is the power supply module that generates DC rails from the AC supply lines and back up batteries. Power supply modules provide multiple rails to power other modules while isolating them from the input and are designed to achieve highest efficiency levels.

TI reference designs and semiconductors for power supply module are:

  • Optimized to operate on wide input AC and DC voltage range while delivering 3W-100W for both low end and more complex relays with integration
  • Designed to tolerate auxiliary supply voltage dips and interruptions as per IEC61000-4-11 and IEC61000-4-29 without resetting the functionality
  • Showcase architectures for both primary and secondary side regulation with advanced safety features incorporated
