TIDA-00872 demonstrates how to reconfigure the DRV8711 bipolar stepper motor gate driver as a unipolar stepper motor gate driver. The PCB connects to the MSP430G2 LaunchPad to allow quick evaluation and tuning. The PCB operates from 15V up to 40V, with full scale current of 5A.

  • 15 to 40-V operating supply voltage range with up to 4-A full-scale continuous motor current
  • Up to 1/256 microstep modes depending on motor speed
  • BOOST-DRV8711 GUI for driver input control and motor tuning
