Output and Drive Current

Output current is determined by the load/pull-up resistance and logic/pull-up voltage. The output current will produce an output low voltage (VOL) which is proportional to the output current. Use GUID-C9C3F91A-8444-4560-8772-DF53DAA77B1E.html#SLCS0056815, GUID-C9C3F91A-8444-4560-8772-DF53DAA77B1E.html#SLCS0056535, and GUID-C9C3F91A-8444-4560-8772-DF53DAA77B1E.html#SLCS0054259 to determine VOL based on the output current.

The output current can also effect the transient response. More will be explained in the next section.
