Performance Specification

Table 3-2 provides a summary of the TPS61289 EVM performance specifications. All specifications are given for an ambient temperature of 25°C.

• Operating voltage ranges

VHIGH / Vbus – up to 20 V

VLOW / Vbat – up to 5 V

• Operating current

– 15-A maximum charge / discharge current

• Switching frequency:

– Fsw 250 kHz when VLOW > 1.7 V

– Fsw down to 100 kHz when VLOW < 1.5 V

– Fsw down to 50 kHz when VLOW < 0.5 V

• Efficiency: > 95 % at VLOW= 4.2 V, VHIGH= 15 V, Icharge or Idischarge = 7 A
