Disabled

Shutdown the output of the device by forcing the voltage of the enable pin to less than VIL(EN) (see the Electrical Characteristics table). When disabled, the pass transistor is turned off, internal circuits are shutdown, and the output voltage is actively discharged to ground by an internal discharge circuit from the output to ground.

The device is disabled under the following conditions:

  • The input or bias voltages are below the respective minimum specifications
  • The enable voltage is less than the enable falling threshold voltage or has not yet exceeded the enable rising threshold
  • The device junction temperature is greater than the thermal shutdown temperature
