Overview

The TPS7E81-Q1 low-dropout regulator (LDO) consumes ultra-low quiescent current (2.8μA typ) at no-load current. The device offers a wide input voltage range (3.0V to 40V) and wide output range (1.2V to 38V, in adjustable configuration) and supports up-to 150mA of load current. The device is stable with the output capacitor range of 2.2μF to 100μF.

The low quiescent current across the complete load current range and controlled IQ in no-load dropout situations makes the TPS7E81-Q1 designed for powering battery-operated applications. The TPS7E81-Q1 has an internal soft-start mechanism that provides a uniform start-up with controlled inrush current. This LDO also has over-current (fold-back), over-power and thermal protection during a load-short or fault condition on the output for better reliability.
