Reverse Current

The TPS7B4258-Q1 incorporates reverse current protection that prevents damage from fault conditions that result in VOUT being higher than VIN. The reverse current comparator typically responds to a reverse voltage condition in 10μs. The comparator along with the body diode of the blocking PMOS transistor, limits the reverse current to less than 1.2µA. As long as the absolute maximum ratings are not violated, no damage occurs to the device.
