6 Minimal Devicetree and Reaching the U-Boot Prompt

Porting U-Boot to a custom board largely involves creating a new devicetree file for the board. This file contains a tree-like structure that describes the hardware to the upper software levels, in this case U-Boot. For example, it includes board specific information to configure a UART port as a console output.
