2.2 PRU-ICSS: The Programmable Real-time Unit and Industrial Communication Subsystem

The Programmable Real-time Unit and Industrial Communication Subsystem (PRU-ICSS) includes all PRUSS features and adds an integrated industrial communication subsystem for industrial networking applications.

PRU-ICSS supports EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS, EnDat 2.2, and 100Mbit industrial Ethernet communication.

Supported devices include the AM261x, AM263x, and AM263Px, as well as older devices AM335x, AM437x, and AM57x.
