7.3 Power Supply Recommendations

The TLC555 requires a voltage supply greater than or equal to 2V, 3V, or 5V based the coldest ambient temperature supported and a supply voltage less than or equal to 15V. Adequate power supply bypassing is necessary to protect associated circuitry and provide stable output pulses. Minimum recommended is 0.1μF ceramic in parallel with 1μF electrolytic. Place the bypass capacitors as close as possible to the TLC555 and minimize the trace length.
