The TPSM852892 is a buck-boost module which integrates four MOSFETs and power inductor, providing a compact device for a variety of applications. The device has up to 36V input voltage capability. The switching frequency is programmable from 400kHz to 1.0MHz by an external resistor and can be synchronized to an external clock. The spread spectrum function is optional to minimize peak EMI. The output over-voltage protection, average inductor current limit, cycle-by-cycle peak current limit, and output short circuit protection are provided. Refer to TPSM852892 36V, 8A Buck-Boost Module Data Sheet for more detailed information of the TPSM852892 fully integrated buck-boost module.
The factory default settings of the TPSM852892EVM allow the operation with an input voltage range from 3V to 36V. In addition, users can modify the EVM to adjust the switching frequency by changing resistor value at the FSW pin.
