SLVUDL5A June 2026 – August 2026 TPS25752A
The TPS25752AEVM has the ability to connect with the TPS55288 36V, 16A buck-boost converter with PPS control. Connections can be done either with the generic TPS55288EVM-045 evaluation board or with a USB-PD specific connector board that is made to interface directly with the TPS25752AEVM.
When connecting to the generic TPS55288EVM-045 evaluation board, the following signal connections and jumper configurations must be made:
Also note that system power must also be provided either through the USB-PD power port (Conn_2) or through an external power supply on VPWR (J11) to ensure the TPS25752A is provided sufficient system power for operation. A 65W capable PD controller is required on the Conn_2 USB connector or a 20V potential is required on VPWR to provide adequate power. An example connection using the TPS25752AEVM and the TPS55288EVM-045 can be seen below in Figure 2-1:
Figure 2-1 TPS5528EVM-045 Connected to TPS25752AEVMAlternatively, a dedicated board exists that connects directly to the external board interface connectors on the TPS25752AEVM (J12, J13, and J14). This board can be obtained by reaching out to the relevant TI support team and reduces the number of external wires required for connecting the TPS55288 to the TPS25752AEVM. An example connection can be seen below in Figure 2-2:
