SLVUDX4 July 2026 DRV8218
The DRV8218EVM uses onboard potentiometers for control of the motor driver inputs. A 3.3V LDO generates a 3.3V rail from the power supply. The 3.3V rail is used to power the MSP430, and status LEDs. The J6 signal header uses removable shunts to pass the signals from the MCU to the motor driver. Remove any of these shunts to easily jump in external control signals to the driver if desired. Provide an external power supply to the J5 screw terminal within the operating range of the device. The DRV8218 supports 1.8V to 11V supply voltage range.
