Device Functional Modes

The LMG2656 has two modes of operation controlled by the EN pin. The device is in Active mode when the EN is logic high and in Standby mode when the EN pin is logic low. In active mode, the half-bridge GaN power FETs are controlled by the INL, INH, and GDH pins. In Standby mode, the INL and INH pins are ignored, the low-side GaN power FET and bootstrap diode are held off, the INH pin is blocked from turning on the high-side FET, and the AUX quiescent current is reduced to the AUX standby quiescent current. Note that in Standby mode the high-side GaN power FET can still be controlled by the GDH pin if the BST pin is powered by an external source.
