Digital Thunder
As communications move into the digital arena, many providers and customers are searching for ways to converge voice, data, and video into a single stream. The Digital Thunder Platform is serving this market by providing high performance hardware and software solutions that support convergence. The platform brings together TI's extensive networking expertise, advance digital signal processor (DSP) technology, analog and mixed-signal technology, and other areas of strength.

The Digital Thunder Platform combines the industry's most powerful digital signal processor, the TMS320C6000 DSP family, with a new software framework for networking services, a development environment tailored for networking applications, and an extension of the DSP Third Party Program for the development of network solutions for hardware and software developers.

TI is currently the leader in Third Party DSP Solutions and will expand the program to include networking solutions. In order to support the Digital Thunder hardware and software development efforts, TI will be leveraging on its DSP Third Party Program to provide network-specific solutions to enhance customers time to market.
