Connect: Matter introduction

The Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) has introduced a new standard called Matter. Our experts discuss this new protocol as well as its various applications.

Two wireless trends that Matter in home automation

Take a deeper look at some of the trends Matter will accelerate and learn how this standard has the potential to transform the home automation space.

Watch Matter in action

Highlighting our CC2755 wireless MCU's wireless capabilities with Matter over Thread and distance measurement using Bluetooth Channel Sounding.

This is a demonstration of the new Matter standard based on our SimpleLink wireless MCU platform. Matter provides a single, unified connectivity standard to connect compatible devices and systems to one another.

See how we bring Matter down to earth, by showing preliminary interoperability between TI and a typical smart home ecosystem. The video will walk through the lifetime of a smart home device.

Matter portfolio

Our SimpleLink™ portfolio offers high-quality wireless hardware and software with ultra-low power capabilities for Matter-enabled devices running on Thread. We have a range of hardware to support the full Thread ecosystem for Matter, including higher memory devices for single-chip use-cases and radio co-processors optimized to be paired with a host MCU or MPU for gateway applications. Choose the product at the right price for your application.
