Overview

The LMG708B0-EVM2PH evaluation module (EVM) is designed to showcase the LMG708B0 GaN synchronous buck converter. The two-phase EVM operates over an input voltage range of 24V to 65V to deliver a 12V regulated output at up to 40A.

  • GaN buck converter enables ultra-high efficiency
  • Maximum DC input of 65V, transients to 80V
  • Switching frequency of 400kHz synchronizable ±20% with an external clock signal
  • Input π-stage EMI filter helps meet CISPR 32
  • Peak current-mode control architecture provides fast line and load transient response modulation (PFM) modes of operation
  • Integrated protection features for robust design
  • Fully assembled, tested and proven PCB layout with 3.3" × 3.3" (84mm × 84mm) total footprint
