The PMP15002 is a highly efficient, universal AC input to 5V 3A output reference design for cost-optimized adapter and charger applications. The topology is primary-side regulated quasi resonant flyback with synchronous rectification.  With the use of primary-side regulation, it eliminates the need of optical coupler and other external compensation components. This design can pass EN55022 class B conducted and radiated EMI. The efficiency and no-load power consumption of this design meet the EU’s Code of Conduct, Version 5, Tier 2 standard.

  • Primary side regulation eliminating the need of opto coupler
  • Efficiency meets COC V5 Tier2 and DOE6 with 150m ohm cable
  • Passes EN5022B CE and RE specifications with only 100p Y-cap
  • Synchronous recitifcation works with primary side regulation
  • <75mW no-load power consumption
