High Density 12Vin 0.8V 200A & 3.3V 75A POL Reference Design

The TPS53679-based reference design provides a single IC for control of two multi-phase outputs with up to 6 phases on main output and up to 2 phases on channel 2; up to 7 phases in all.  Multi-phase also allows output ripple cancellation and effective higher bandwidth control for a given switching frequency. The PMP20489 reference design shows a high current five phase plus two phase application and two on board dynamic loads. The test report focuses on thermal performance, dynamic response and efficiency.

  • Complete high current 5 plus 2 phases DC/DC converters with high speed contol for POL applications
  • Loop compensation set by GUI
  • High current power stages with grounded cooling pads
  • Rich text interface including a self-contained high-speed dynamic test load and a signal generator driven dynamic test load
  • Schematic, BOM, layout and test report focusiing on efficiency, temperature rise and dynamic load performance
