This non-isolated design supplies an adjustable output voltage between -150-V and -250-V at 10-mA for LIDAR applications. It operates over an automotive input voltage range of 6-V to 40-V and accepts a control voltage from 0-V to 3-V for output voltage adjustment. Utilizing a single inductor and operating in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), this converter offers a compact form factor and low cost.

  • Provides an adjustible output voltage from -150 V to -250 V
  • Achieves an efficiency of greater than 70% over all outputs (12-V input, 10-mA output)
  • Implements an inverting buck-boost with voltage doubler topology
  • Utilizes a single standard inductor
  • Achieves a Vout/Vin ratio of greater than 40 in a compact size (31 mm x 55 mm)
