Overview

This reference design showcases a protection system for voltage and current transient events typically found in automotive systems. This reference design optimizes functionality, size and protection capabilities while not sacrificing power delivery for premium audio amplifiers.

  • Ideal diode controller with external back-to-back N-channel MOSFETs for overvoltage protection and to emulate an ideal diode rectifier
  • Over-current protection along with analog current monitoring
  • Easily scalable solution for varying load sizes

A fully assembled board has been developed for testing and performance validation only, and is not available for sale.
