Overview

The TIDA-050033 reference design demonstrates the backup power supply solution for smart meter PLC module. By using a cost-effective boost converter TLV61048, minimum operating voltage is extended to maximize super capacitor usage rate. Smaller size (lower capacitance) super capacitor could be selected hence the total bill of material (BOM) is reduced.
