Overview

The TPS23882EVM-008 daughter card features an 8 channel, IEEE 802.3bt ready (Type-3, 30W) 2-Pair PSE controller. When paired with the BOOST-PSEMTHR8-097 motherboard and an MSP430 Launchpad, users can evaluate a multiple-port PSE system.

The full PoE Evaluation ecosystem includes the following:

  • TI’s PoE 2 Conformance Test Report for interoperability confidence with this design.
  • TPS23882 Evaluation System  
    • BOOST-PSEMTHR8-097: Mother board for IEEE802.3bt ready PoE PSE applications (sold separately)
