The TPS40195EVM evaluation module (EVM) is a synchronous buck converter providing a fixed 3.3V output at up to 20A from a 12V input bus. The EVM is designed to start up from a single supply, so no additional bias voltage is required for start up. The module uses the TPS40195 Mid-Voltage Synchronous Buck Controller (TI Literature Number SLUS720). TPS40195EVM is designed to use a regulated 12V bus (8V to 20V) to produce a regulated 3.3V output at up to 20A of load current. TPS40195EVM is designed to demonstrate the TPS40195 in a typical 12V bus to low-voltage application while providing a number of test points to evaluate the performance of the TPS40195 in a given application.
