Programming Your Device Registers

Once the calibration value is determined, you can write that value to the calibration register. To ensure you read meaningful results, you will also likely need to program the configuration register(s) as the default settings might not be adequate for your design. As the configuration register(s) have ADC conversion settings, averaging settings, programmable gain settings, or some setting for selecting an ADC range, neglecting to program it can lead to significant deviations from expectation.
