Replaced By TPA3251 – The device has the SAME FUNCTIONALITY as the compared device, but is not pin-for-pin equivalent and may not be parametrically equivalent. The TPA3251 delivers a better performance with a lower THD+N (<0.005% @1W into 4Ω) and a signal bandwidth of up to 100kHz for true Ultra-HD / High Resolution sound while supporting output levels up to 175W Stereo / 350W Mono.
TPA3255 – The device has the SAME FUNCTIONALITY as the compared device, but is not pin-for-pin equivalent and may not be parametrically equivalent. For applications with higher power requirements, the TPA3255 delivers the same performance as the TPA3251 for output levels up to 315W Stereo /600W Mono.
TAS5613A – The device is an EXACT EQUIVALENT in functionality and parametrics to the compared device.

TI does not recommend using this part in a new design. This product continues to be in production to support existing customers.

Description

The TAS5613A is a high-performance analog input Class D amplifier with integrated closed loop feedback technology (known as PurePath™ HD). It has the ability to drive up to 150 W.Achievable output power levels are dependent on the thermal configuration of the target application. A high performance thermal interface material between the package exposed heatslug and the heat sink should be used to achieve high output power levels Stereo into 4Ω speakers from a single 36V supply.

PurePath™ HD technology enables traditional AB-Amplifier performance (<0.03% THD) levels while providing the power efficiency of traditional class D amplifiers.

Unlike traditional Class-D amplifiers, the distortion curve only increases once the output levels move into clipping.

PurePath™ HD technology enables lower idle losses making the device even more efficient.
