Currency Counter integrated circuits and reference designs

Description

TI integrated circuits and reference designs will help you to jumpstart your currency counter project through sensors able to detect the inherent characteristics of banknotes and coins, an efficient power management design and precise motor control:

  • Ultraviolet, infrared & magnetic sensing are the typical detection techniques used today to verify the inherent characteristics of banknotes.
  • CIS/CCD AFE to capture the banknote images to enable the recognition of denomination, serial number and other aspects of each note.
  • Two stepper motors controls the feed wheel and one brushed DC controls the gate.
  • PMIC’s provide the currency counter with a solution to generate and regulate core, memory and IO power.
