This Privacy Policy explains how Texas Instruments Incorporated, 12500 TI Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75243, USA and its subsidiaries (together, “TI”, “we”, or “our”; individually, a “TI group company”) handle your Personal Data. This Privacy Policy is not a contract and does not create any legal rights or obligations.

Where your Personal Data will be processed by a TI group company other than Texas Instruments Incorporated, this Privacy Policy also governs the processing of your Personal Data by such TI group company as responsible controller. 1. Information We Collect

When you visit our sites, indicate interest in our products and/or services, establish or maintain a business relationship, and/or otherwise interact with us, TI collects a broad variety of information relating to you as an identified or identifiable person (“Personal Data”). Personal Data may include, for example, email addresses, names, or phone numbers. TI may collect and use your Personal Data consistent with this Privacy Policy. You are not under any contractual nor legal obligation to provide us with your Personal Data. However, if we cannot collect this information, we may not be able to provide you (or the company you work for or represent) with products or services, or enter into a respective contract, and/or you (or the company you work for or represent) may not be able to take advantage of certain features and programs.

Categories of the information we may collect and store include:

Webpages you have visited (for example, whether you look at support forums, or product information);

Any information that you post or submit (for example, where you request more information, register for an event, or post information or a request in forums on the sites), including identity verification data (such as ID/passport information or other proof of identity); and

We collect the information either directly from you or from other sources, such as the company you work for or represent, other TI group companies, our external business partners, or from publicly available sources, information databases or credit agencies.

2. How We Use Your Information

TI uses the Personal Data it collects for the purposes explained in the table below.

The data protection laws of some jurisdictions (like the GDPR) also require TI to explain the legal bases supporting our use of Personal Data. As explained more specifically below, TI processes Personal Data on the following grounds or bases: your consent (which, where applicable, may be withdrawn at any time); the performance of a contract with you or pre-contractual steps for a contract with you; compliance with our legal obligations; legitimate interests pursued by TI or third parties to whom we transfer the Personal Data; and/or as otherwise permitted by applicable laws.

We collect user’s official name, email address, chosen user name and password, to facilitate and enable user’s access and use of the EdTech Apps, as further outlined below. For the above purposes, we may connect information you provide to TI with other information from you or about you, including to analyze your data and derive further information about you. If you have or register for a myTI.com account, TI will also connect Personal Data with your saved account profile. We may use automated tools to personalize your experience. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you.

We may provide you with additional information regarding the business purpose for which we use your data when you enter your Personal Data in a particular site, online form, or tool, or otherwise provide your data in the context of our business relationship with you (or the company you work for or represent).

3. Disclosure to Third Parties

TI may share Personal Data with third parties such as suppliers and service providers, in accordance with this Privacy Policy and to provide services to TI or on our behalf. For example:

TI may share your Personal Data with technical service providers for storing and processing of your data, including hosting, cloud service and IT-service providers;
TI may share information about shipping addresses and preferences with its fulfillment service providers in order to fulfill your order and deliver items to you (or the company you work for or represent);
TI may share information including Personal Data, such as analytics and about how and when users visit our sites, with web analytics companies and marketing companies in order to improve or personalize the content and services offered to you, or to provide you with information about products and services that may be of interest to you;

4. International Transfers

TI is a global business, and the information we collect, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and stored, processed, and accessed by, entities located in the United States and in other countries. 5. Marketing Preferences

When you register for an online account with TI, visit our sites or online store, subscribe to a newsletter, register for or attend an event, or enter a contest, drawing, or other promotion, you may receive marketing communications from TI in accordance with applicable law. You may unsubscribe from those marketing communications and/or withdraw your consent at any time, using applicable unsubscribe links within marketing communications, your account preferences (if registered) or our Information Request Form.

Even if you choose not to receive marketing emails from us, you will still receive our transactional emails, such as messages related to your orders, updates or notifications about hardware, software or other products and/or services you have purchased from us, or information about your account.

Request the purpose for collecting Personal Data and the categories of third parties with whom we may share that information;
Request that TI correct, delete, or provide you a copy of your Personal Data;
Object to or restrict TI’s processing of your Personal Data; and

Requests regarding your Personal Data may be submitted to TI using our Information Request Form. In order to process your request, TI may need to verify your identity. TI will reply to requests in accordance with our internal policies and as required by applicable laws.

8. Social Media Platforms, Forums, and Public Areas

Content or information (including profile information such as name, location, pictures, etc.) that you choose to post or submit to publicly available portions of the sites, forums, or on social media platforms is non-confidential and can be accessed and used by third parties who are not subject to this Privacy Policy. Whether on TI sites, forums, or any social media platforms, you should exercise caution in deciding what information you publish or disclose. Your interaction with third-party social media platforms (such as Facebook or X) is subject to, and governed by, the terms applicable to those platforms.

9. Data Security and Retention

TI cares about the security of your Personal Data, and we use a variety of administrative and technical measures to help protect it, including commercially available security technologies such as secure servers, firewalls, and encryption. It is your responsibility to safeguard any password, user ID, and other Personal Data while using our sites. Regardless of protective efforts, transmissions over the Internet are never guaranteed to be entirely secure or error-free. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your Personal Data, we will notify you and/or relevant authorities where required in accordance with applicable law.

TI may retain information, including your Personal Data, for the length of time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. The length of retention may vary depending upon factors such as recordkeeping or legal compliance requirements, the need to resolve inquiries or complaints, and the existence of an ongoing relationship with you. Please note that even if TI deletes your Personal Data, it may persist on backup or archival media for an additional period of time in accordance with applicable law.

10. Protection of Children

TI sites are not primarily intended for children, and TI does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children without obtaining parental consent where it is required by law. However, TI may collect a limited amount of Personal Data of minors in relation to TI’s Educational Technology software applications as further outlined in TI’s Educational Account Supplemental Policy.

If you believe that we may have collected Personal Data from someone under the applicable age of consent without obtaining parental consent, please let us know using our Information Request Form and we will take appropriate measures to investigate and address the issue.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. EDUCATIONAL ACCOUNT SUPPLEMENTAL POLICY

1. Scope.

This Educational Account Supplemental Policy (“EdTech Supplemental Policy”) is part of the Texas Instruments Incorporated, 12500 TI Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75243, USA and its subsidiaries (together, “TI”, “we” or “our”) Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between the terms of the Privacy Policy and the EdTech Supplemental Policy related to EdTech products, the terms of the EdTech Supplemental Policy control.

This section applies to the extent we process Personal Data to facilitate access to and use of certain educational account-based software applications (“EdTech Apps”) by students, parents/guardians, teachers and other individuals (“App User”). This section supplements TI’s Privacy Policy.

Many of TI’s education technology products can be used without collection of Personal Data. Where we do collect Personal Data to enable access and use of the EdTech Apps as described herein, we follow the data privacy principles described in TI’s Privacy Policy and this EdTech Supplemental Policy, which are summarized below:

TI does not use or share Personal Data of App Users for marketing or advertising purposes.
TI does not rent or sell Personal Data of App Users.
Personal Data of App Users for the EU, Switzerland and UK is only stored within the EU and not transferred to other third countries.

2. Data Collection and Use.

TI collects and uses Personal Data of App Users, which is limited to user account information, user’s official name, email address, chosen user name and password, only for the purposes of associating and validating App User accounts with EdTech App licenses, facilitating App User’s access and use of the EdTech Apps as requested by or on behalf of the App User, for related technical support functions, and for the establishment, exercise or defense of our legal claims and compliance with our legal obligations. We do not use Personal Data of App Users for any other purpose.

In order to access and use an EdTech App, App Users must have a valid user account. App User accounts may either be created directly by the App User (or their parent/guardian) upon purchasing a license to an EdTech App, or by a school/school district administrator on an individual’s behalf.

Alternatively, App Users may log in to the EdTech App using Google single-sign-on, in which case use of such Google single-sign-on functionality will be governed by the applicable Google terms of service and policies.

TI processes Personal Data of App Users on the following grounds or basis: Establishing and/or performing a contractual relationship with you, or taking necessary steps prior to entering into a contract, and/or safeguarding the legitimate interests of TI or third parties to whom we transfer the data in the performance of the business relationship concerning your access and use of the EdTech Apps, establishing, exercising or defending our legal claims and ensuring and documenting compliance, and/or as otherwise permitted by applicable laws.

3. Data Sharing.

We do not rent or sell Personal Data of App Users to third parties. TI only discloses Personal Data of App Users in limited circumstances. Specifically, we may work with certain third parties who support the provision of services described in this EdTech Supplemental Policy. These third-party service providers may only access Personal Data of App Users to the extent necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they are retained and under strict confidentiality, security and privacy terms. In certain circumstances, we may disclose Personal Data of App Users to a requesting parent/guardian or school/school district administrator who registered the App User account.

4. FERPA Compliance.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. §1232g) (FERPA) is a United States federal law that governs access to student educational records. Personal Data of App Users falls within the category of “directory information” under FERPA and is not generally considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed. Where applicable, TI will handle Personal Data of App Users as required by FERPA. To the extent TI is provided with Personal Data of App Users from a school/school district administrator, TI will only use Personal Data of App Users for authorized school purposes.

5. Data Sharing.

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is a United States federal law that sets forth requirements for operators of websites and on-line services directed to children under 13 years of age. EdTech Apps are not intended for or targeted to children under 13 years of age. Where a school/school district provides TI with Personal Data of App Users and to the extent COPPA applies, TI requires the school/school district to obtain requisite consent on behalf of App User’s parents/guardians to permit App User’s access and use of an EdTech App. TI does not knowingly collect personally identifiable data from children without obtaining parental consent where it is required by law. If you believe that TI may have collected personally identifiable data from someone without obtaining the required consent, please let us know using our Information Request Form, and we will take appropriate measures to investigate and address the issue.
