8.9 Error Aggregator Module (EAM)

The Error Aggregator Module (EAM) aggregates errors that include but are not limited to single error correction (SEC) and double error detection (DED) for the system memory and security errors. EAM latches the error into corresponding register that is forwarded to SYSCTL to generate an NMI or interrupt the CPU based on the priority of the error. The EAM module can be protected by a security firewall based on the GSC setting to allow customer critical code in secure mode of the application to handle the error in a context safe method.

The EAM supports the following features:

  • ECC error logging for SEC and DED from flash and SRAM
  • Security error logging for non-secure access to a firewall region for memory and peripherals
  • Security error logging for hide protected region in the flash
  • First error logged with initiator and type of access error logged
