High Performance and External Communication

Efficient high-power topologies, such as Totem-Pole PFC, cannot be easily implemented with analog controllers. Typical analog controllers also do not have external communication features and are thus closed-off from the system.

The UCD3138x devices can upgrade your power converter with efficient high-power topologies and external communication. The UCD3138x devices can control multiple complex topologies that analog controllers cannot control.

UCD3138x devices that control separate power stages can also communicate between each other to further optimize system performance. ALL UCD3138x devices have UART, I2C and PMBus peripherals. External communication delivers special features, such as e-metering, diagnostics, automatic shutdown and more!
