Multiplying THD Measurement

The multiplying THD is evaluated using either of the following methods:

  1. External Precision Source: Use a low-distortion sinusoidal source (for example, APx555) as the DAC reference input.
    • Configure the DAC in multiplying mode by clicking on the configure tab of the GUI.
    • Apply the external signal to the channel 1 reference SMA (J2).
    • Measure the DAC output at channel 1 SMA (J4) using a distortion analyzer (APx555).
  2. AWG loopback of channel 0:
    • Open the AWG page and generate the desired sine wave.
    • The GUI automatically configures channel 0 in AWG mode and channel 1 in multiplying mode.
    • Connect the channel 0 Output SMA (J3) to the channel 1 reference SMA (J2) using a SMA to SMA cable.
    • Measure the DAC output at channel 1 SMA (J4)) using a distortion analyzer (APx555).
