7.3.1.5 BIST and Loopback Modes

DP83TC813 incorporates a data path Built-In-Self-Test (BIST) to check the PHY level and system-level data-paths. BIST has following integrated features which make the system-level data transfer tests (throughput, and so forth) and diagnostics possible without relying on MAC or external data generator hardware/software.
