Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs allow you to create starter and generator designs that efficiently convert DC power to alternating phases of power to drive multi-phase motors.

Design requirements

Starter and generator designs require:

  • Safely and efficiently control and protect the power switch (IGBT/SiC).
  • Position sensing of the motor shaft (resolver replacement).
  • Following state-of-the-art architecture regarding system redundancy in order to allow implementation of the system on the highest safety level.
