Release Information

This is the v6.2.1.LTS release of the C7000 C/C++ Code Generation Tools. The C7000 CGT provides software development tools including the compiler, assembler, and linker, among others, which can be used to develop applications with C/C++ source code for loading and running on C7000+MMA processors. This C7000 compiler release is a “Long-Term Support” (LTS) release. Please note v6.2.1.LTS is the first broadly available release of the v6.x series of C7000 Code Generation Tools.

What's new

  • Support for the new 1024 bit C7604, in addition to existing support for C7100, C7120, C7504, and C7524
  • Support for the new MMA3_1024, in addition to existing support for MMA1, MMA2, MMA2_256, and MMA2_256F
  • Support for new bfloat16 (bf16) and 8 bit floating point (fp8_e4m3) data types for use with MMA3_1024
  • OptiShare, which allows multiple C7x cores to share identical code and data in memory
  • Additional boolean vector operators; vector comparisons also now produce boolean vectors
  • Various generated code performance improvements through auto-vectorization and other loop optimizations
  • Compiler workarounds for silicon errata i2528 and i2532, enabled by default for potentially affected C7x variants
  • Support for C7000 C/C++ Code Generation Tools on Arm Linux
  • See the README.html file for more details
