Introduction

The TPS92642EVM-203 evaluation module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS92642-Q1 5.0-A buck switching regulator designed for high-current IR LED drive applications. The TPS92642-Q1 is designed to control IR LED diodes and features a wide input voltage range (5.5 V to 36 V), PWM dimming capability, analog dimming capability, input undervoltage lockout protection, fault detection, an internal 5-V regulator, and incorporates an internal pulse monitoring circuit that limits the maximum pulse duty cycle of the PWM signal.
