SLVSI60A September 2025 – September 2025 TPS61382-Q1
PRODUCTION DATA
In super capacitor charging mode, TPS61382Q1 charges batteries with a voltage-controlled charging profile consisting of two phases: CC Charge, CV Charge.
When the backup super capacitor voltage is below target voltage (Set by I2C bits BUB_CV) , the device enters CC charge phase. In this phase, the device charges the super capacitor by CC current configured by BUB_CC bits. Note that buck operation range is limited by minimum duty, so the IC works in 100mA LDO mode when BUB voltage is below 1V.
After super capacitor is charged to its target voltage, TPS61382Q1 enters CV charge phase. The device decrease charging current to regulate the super capacitor voltage until the current drops below a pre-set threshold, then the device terminates charging.
If configured as recharge disabled (By I2C bits BUB_TER), the device does not re-charge after terminated unless the EN_CHGR pin or CHGR_EN bit is toggled.
If configured as recharge enabled, the device pauses charging temporary and automatically re-charges when BUB voltage drops below VRECHG threshold.
