Fault Reporting (FLTB)

The FLTB pin is an open-drain output that asserts when either the overtemperature event, overcurrent event or detection of UVLO conditions. Use a pull-up resistor on the FLTB pin to BP5L or to another voltage level within the device recommended operating conditions. Select the resistor size to keep the maximum current sunk by FLTB to under the recommended operating condition current maximum (less than 100μA when connected to BP5L); generally a pullup resistor of 10kΩ is sufficient. When connecting FLTB to an alternate pull-up voltage, size the resistor for a current maximum of 2mA. Using a larger value resistor reduces power dissipation but increases susceptibility to switching-noise coupling on the FLTB signal due to the weaker pull-up.

FLTB assertion ends when an overcurrent, overtemperature, or UVLO condition is no longer detected.
