Supply Input

Figure 2-4 illustrates the portions of the EVM associated with the main supply input powering the DRV824x-Q1, DRV826x-Q1 DRV814x-Q1, or DRV816x-Q1 device, and the associated loads. Starting from the upper-left, and working clockwise around the image:

  • Supply reverse polarity protection. The Texas Instruments LM74610QDGKRQ1 drives a Texas Instruments CSD18513Q5A 40V 100 A N-channel MOSFET.
  • Fuses.
    Note: DRV8243-Q1 and DRV8263-Q1 EVMs only have a single fuse populated
  • Not pictured (underside): TVS diode.
  • High current supply input with screw terminals. The supply shall be between +4.5VDC to +36V. Test points are provided.
  • Pi filter section comprising two 50V 150uF capacitors and a 1mH inductor (misc. passive components omitted from image for simplicity).
